With its historic, cultural and recreational attractions, as well as proximity to Nashville, Rutherford County is a popular destination for tourists.

 

History buffs find plenty to do here, since Rutherford County is home to sites such as the Stones River National Battlefield, location of one of the Civil War's most gruesome battles.
