Big Deals: Tech, Pharma Companies Adding Jobs

Fort Mill SC-based Red Ventures

Major deals for a tech company and a pharma manufacturer lead the weeks’ site selection and job creation roundup:

In South Carolina, technology company Red Ventures has acquired 16 acres of land next to its Indian Land headquarters in Lancaster County. The expansion is expected to generate 1,000 new jobs over the next five years.

Amneal Pharmaceuticals is investing $120 million in to grow its operations at facilities in New York, New Jersey and Kentucky. Site expansions and infrastructure enhancement projects will create over 500 new jobs in manufacturing, research and development, distribution and sales at the locations.

Also in Kentucky,  Mid South Sales will launch a new operation in Uniontown, creating 30 full-time jobs. The start-up company will produce a new line of salad and party trays to be sold in stores nationwide.

In the Charlotte USA region,  NGK Ceramics USA is expanding production at its Iredell County NC manufacturing operation. The manufacturer of ceramic components for automobile engines plans to create 86 jobs and invest more than $93 million over the next three years in Mooresville.

Tier 1 Honda supplier Indiana Marujun LLC will invest $21.8 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Winchester IN, creating up to 50 jobs. The company plans an expansion of its 127,000-square-foot facility, which currently employs 535 people.
